Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport or your hotel if you are joining us after climbing Kilimanjaro. Drive to your hotel in Arusha and check in and drive into Arusha town to explore. Arusha City is situated at the foot of Mount Meru and it is the most famous city as a gateway to the Northern Safari circuit. You will overnight at Arusha.
After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire national park and arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, we will have a game drive where you can see giant baobab trees and have bush lunch. Then you will drive to Karatu, for your overnight stay and dinner.
On this day it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours; breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes specifically for this purpose. At 6:30 AM you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater. By lunch time you will drive back to Arusha and have your lunch.
