At Kilimanjaro Dreamers, mountains are more than just our profession. It is our passion, it is our home. We are a local company run by Thomas ‘Tom’ Jonas, a Kilimanjaro guide with more than 15 years of mountaineering experience. We exist to deliver tailored trekking experience for those who dream to climb Mt Kilimanjaro and to pass on our love for the highest peak of Africa that inspire us every day. Our heritage gives us a unique perspective on the mountains - one that combines a desire to conquer summits with an ancient, ancestral respect for them. We have a particular advantage when it comes to operating on Kilimanjaro. An intimate knowledge of the way things work on the ground helps ensure that everything runs like clockwork when you’re 5,000m above sea level. We oversee every aspect of expedition planning and preparation to ensure that it meets our exact safety standards. While some prefer to direct operations from a back office, our founder leads from the front. Thomas was born to be a mountain guide, and continues to lead as many expeditions as he can every season. Safari vehicles must serve several purposes: they must allow you to sit in comfort for game drives, offer excellent viewing opportunities and be tough enough to withstand the demands of the Tanzanian wilderness. we have a very strict vehicle policy that ensures a comfort and reliability to our clients at all times. We have a fleet of predominantly 4-wheel drives. All of them have hatched roofs and sliding windows to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography during game drives and sightseeing.
When it comes to trekking and safari, Tanzania really does have it all. It is the kind of place which experienced safari and trekking hands could easily visit for or five times, but it also makes for a fantastic first-time Safari.
