We are here to protecting Kilimanjaro for today and tomorrow. Kilimanjaro Dreamers believes the mountains are there for everyone to enjoy, but must always be respected and protected. On expedition, we are considerate and committed to preserving the natural wonder these majestic environments hold. All team members are well-trained and educated in the environmental issues like a proper disposal of garbage. Kilimanjaro Dreamers company strongly follows ‘Clean as you go’ and ‘Leave no trace’ policies and insists all its climbers and guides comply with the environmental rules, regulations and guidelines.
We help children to go to and stay in school. We provide schools with essential items such as desks, books, pens. As our company grows so does our commitment to help young children, especially young girls in Tanzania, to access quality education with our Kilimanjaro Dreamers profit sharing programme.
We care about our porters and are very proud of them. They are a key element of every expedition. Kilimanjaro Dreamers is part of The Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP). In line with the regulation we provide our team of porters with decent conditions on the mountain such as three meals a day, well paid wages and mountain equipment. We helped many of them realising their dreams of becoming guides or mountain chefs by sending them to attend guide or cooking college.
